Voluntary vacancy: could you join our Board of Trustees?

Jubilee Debt Campaign is seeking thoughtful, passionate and committed people to join our Board of Trustees.

We are a UK charity working to end poverty, inequality and exploitation caused by unjust debt. We do this through research, education, campaigning and organising, based around the principles of solidarity and partnership.

Trustees are responsible for the governance and strategic direction of our work, and have collective legal responsibility for Jubilee Debt Campaign’s management and administration.

You will need to be able to attend three Board meetings per year in London.

While we very much welcome applications from all candidates, we would particularly like to encourage applications from women, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates, and people who are based outside of London.

Amongst the skills gaps we are looking to fill in this round of Board recruitment are significant knowledge of and experience in the following areas: fundraising from trusts and foundations; libel law; organising and campaigning with younger people aged 16-30. However, we are very open to considering candidates who don’t have these specialisms but have other skills and experience relevant to the work of Jubilee Debt Campaign and our governance.

This is an unpaid position, but travel expenses are provided, and funds are also available to support childcare arrangements if needed.

Please see the Trustee recruitment pack (pdf)  for further details and information on how to apply. The deadline for applications is 9am on Thursday 9 April.
